Luciano Bacheta recovered from his non-finish in race one to secure pole for round eight at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The 22-year-old Brit just edged out round seven winner Markus Pommer with Swiss driver Alex Fontana claiming third. Read what Luchi had to say after the session had finished…

Luciano Bacheta - "We were kind of forced into our qualifying strategy due to the crash in yesterday's race we had to do installation laps. I had a good feeling in the car so myself and engineer decided just to go out straight away in the rhythm and it paid off. I was focused on nailing certain corners but in the process I got others slightly wrong so I know there's more pace to come from me. It was still a fairly clean lap when the tyres were at their best."
